Welcome back! We are excited to catch up with you and review the last three months that have kept us busy. In March, the Belgian Week and the economic mission were a great opportunity to present to you and have you taste our 100% local products. We were delighted to show you our manufacturing processes and to engage with you in a discussion about the challenges we face on a daily basis as a local and sustainable company.
April was an opportunity to empower Congolese youth and to accompany them for the CICERO prize. Several young people were trained in public speaking by the famous speaker Jonathan Bilari and took the opportunity to use this new skill to present a business project. The CICERO prize was coupled with a scholarship for the first three winners to launch their business idea.
Our Mama’Kwilu continue to make us proud! In a friendly match with the Camp Salongo team, they won 3-0 on the occasion of the International Women’s Rights Day celebration. In their new T-shirts offered by KWILU BRIQUES, you will now find them under the names Mama’Kwilu for the over 15s and Soso’Kwilu for the under 15s
At the academy, the final layers of paint are done. Our players will soon be able to move to the boarding school for a better follow-up.

To be sustainable means to reduce waste and promote renewable energies. With Elikya, we have invested in new equipment (booster and gas generator) that will allow us to provide lighting in the workers’ camps with biogas.
A second community kitchen is also under construction, as well as 45 dry toilets that will be ready for use by the end of June 2022.
Every year, what we affectionately call the suga campaign takes place. During this period, the sugar canes are transported from the plantations to the factory where the sugar is extracted. This campaign takes place during the dry season, between May and November.
This year, we launched the 2022 sugar harvest on May 21. After a period of six to seven months where the factory was at rest and where we carried out maintenance on all the machines, we are delighted and ready to resume the rhythm of the campaign. We hope to produce 86,000 tons of sugar and about 7 million liters of alcohol this year.
