Driven by hard work and the need to innovate in the DRC, the company grew into a full-fledged factory and distillery to produce the first rum in the Congo. A series of initiatives and partnerships have been built around what is now our CSR (corporate social responsibility) to give back to the environment and teach the local community to respect and preserve the world we live in.<\/p><p>The agronomy department takes care of the 12,000 hectares of sugarcane plantations spread over 42 kilometres of Kwilu Ngongo on the borders of Angola. With more than 1500 permanent and 3500 seasonal employees during the harvest season, the factory transforms sugar cane and extracts around 85,000 tons of sugar per year. The distillery then transforms the sugarcane molasses into 7,000,000 litres of 96% alcohol.
