Both honey and sugar are used as sweeteners to enhance the taste of food or beverages. All
\nboth contain fructose and glucose, but in different proportions. Of the two, honey is generally
\nconsidered the healthiest option. This carbohydrate is composed of 40% fructose and 30% glucose,
\nwater, pollen and minerals (magnesium and potassium). In addition, it contains amino acids, vitamins and
\nantioxidants. These antioxidants help maintain a good balance of free radicals in the body and prevent
\nthe death of the cells. On the other hand, sugar contains 50% fructose and 50% glucose, as well as traces of
\nminerals.
\nAlthough sugar contains higher percentages of fructose and glucose, it actually contains fewer calories
\nthan honey. Traces of pollen in honey can also cause seasonal allergies, which
\nmakes it a risky option for people prone to seasonal allergies. Nevertheless, sugar and honey all have
